1. Hit the Beach
Charleston is more than just history; it's a beach destination as well. Two famous Charleston beaches are Folly Beach and Sullivan’s Island. Folly is home to Charleston’s surfing community as well. It’s known to be one of the best beaches in South Carolina to catch a wave. Sullivan’s Island is a gorgeous community in close proximity to Charleston. The beach is often less crowded than Folly Beach, though in the heart of the summer it can fill up as well.

Get out of the heat and into the spa. Consider a Reiki session, hot stone massage, or salt glow at Healing Hands Massage and Bodywork. Other great spas include The Spa at Charleston Place and Simply Your Spa.
4. Eat Raw
The Sprout boasts the best in raw foods. Try the live granola or the breakfast quinoa porridge. Or try your hand at the raw pad Thai with zucchini and carrot noodles topped with a tasty peanut sauce. Consider a juice delight like the Green Monkey with pineapple, banana, spinach, apple, celery, and lemon juice.
5. Cool off With a Cold Beer
Charleston Beer Works is the place for you if you're in need of a cold brewsky. With a huge selection of beers on tap and live entertainment, this is a cool spot for the young or the young at heart. Enjoy a selection of tasty brews including locally brewed Coast, Coast Hobert, or Coast Kolsch.
