Toronto’s favourite street festival is celebrating its 17th year! The Pilaros Taste of the Danforth is Canada’s largest street festival welcoming over 1.2 million visitors. To celebrate the flavours of Greece and summer, the festival boasts loads of family friendly activities including three stages of free entertainment! Visitors will have a chance to meet top winners from “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” and be charmed by the music of Greece, Brazil and Argentina. There is also a Kids Fun Zone where children can experience the Toronto Zoo and meet Explorer Bear ™, the Zoo’s mascot. And then of course there’ s the food. Moving on from Greece to the continent of Asia, visitors to Toronto will have a chance to explore the hot spots of Pan-Asian cuisine and its influence across the globe at the Fortune Cooking Food Festival. This three-day festival offer a combination of food, music, film and dance with local Toronto dishes, restaurants and artists on display. Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy a performance by the Canadian Tibetan Traditional Performing Arts Group and Longo’s Fortune Cooking Iron Chef Competition. The festival takes place on the Toronto Harbourfront from August 12th to August 14th.
