The Italian Festival, officially named Festa Italiana 2011, in DC is celebrating its 13th anniversary this year. Historically the area where it is held near Holy Rosary Church (at Third and F Streets NW) was an active Italian community. This festival celebrates Italian heritage, food, and culture in a way that is fun for DC natives of all backgrounds.
This festival features live entertainment including music and dancing, games, crafts, food, drinks, children’s activities, and much more.
This year’s event will take place on Sunday, October 9 beginning at 11:30am until 5:30pm. It is held at the Holy Rosary Church at 3rd and F Streets in NW Washington DC. Come join the crowd, enjoy the beautiful architecture and grounds, relax, eat, drink, and be merry!
