In a beautiful 1894 McKim, Mead and White buiding, the Museum holds collections of over 14,000 objects, representing a broad range of nations and time periods including European and American paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, and photographs; and art of ancient Greece, Rome, Assyria, and Asia. The Museum maintains an active program of at least 15 temporary exhibiitons annually, bringing works and artists to Maine from around the world. |
