Dexter Historical Society Museums Three museums which portray many aspects of life in Dexter from 1801 to today.

Description   The Dexter Historical Society has three museums that give glimpses of life in Dexter from 1801 to today. The stream flowing from the lake powered the (1854) Grist Mill and ran the woolen mills and foundry. This museum offers exhibits on our fire dept., Civil War and WWI soldiers, banking, garages, farming and lumbering. The (1825)Millers House has a Victorian parlor, photo gallery and genealogy information. The (1845)Carr Schoolhouse, recently moved in town, is a place for older visitors to remember and young ones to "play school".
