The Chicago Botanic Garden is a world-class botanic garden serving 900,000 visitors and more than 45,000 members each year. Owned by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County and managed by the Chicago Horticultural Society, the Garden holds seasonal festivals for the entire family including the Jr. Railroad and the Great American Scarecrow Festival. The School of the Chicago Botanic Garden offers classes for gardening experts as well as novices. In addition to educational and community programs, the Garden features 23 picturesque gardens, including The Rose Garden, The English Walled Garden, and The Japanese Garden. |

Festivals at the Chicago Botanic Garden bring the best of all seasons with plant shows and sales, art exhibits, and activities that delight visitors of all ages. The Jr. Railroad, open through October 28, features garden-scale trains traveling through America's most beloved sites. The Great American Sacrecrow Festival, open through October 28 as well, features 12 whimsical scarecrows scattered throughout the gardens. |
