Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival Premier international dance festival complemented by free showings, talks and exhibits.
 
   
Description   Jacob’s Pillow is an internationally celebrated center that presents modern, ballet, jazz, culturally specific dance;
supports new choreography through commissions and residencies;
engages the public through talks, showings, exhibits, scholarly writing and community programs; educates professional dancers in a School with international faculty, and trains interns in arts administration and technical theatre; and preserves dance legacies through documentation and an extensive historical Archive.
The Pillow was founded by the legendary Ted Shawn and is housed in historic buildings. It has recently been named to the National Register of Historic Places. America’s oldest dance festival continues to be a vibrant and innovative home for dance.
