The United States Golf Association's Museum and Library displays fascinating artifacts and memorabilia that depict golf's ancient and honorable traditions.
Golf House is located in Far Hills, in the rolling countryside of north central New Jersey. Renowned architect John Russell Pope originally designed the facility as a private residence in 1919. The elegant Georgian colonial mansion now provides the ideal environment for displays that trace the evolution of golf from its earliest antecedents to the present via a blend of historical displays and special audio-visual presentations.
Equipment and artifacts have been donated since the Museum first began in 1934. The archives contain a multitude of personal items from golf's greatest heroes, including Bobby Jones, Gene Sarazen, Walter Hagen, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Patty Berg, Babe Zaharias, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. Museum displays trace developments of the game through thousands of interesting and historic artifacts. |
