The Boston Orchestra offers outstanding performances in the intimate setting of historic Faneuil Hall. Founded in 1980, this fully professional 30-piece chamber orchestra is conducted by prize-winning music director Steven Lipsitt. Boston Classical performs five programs from September to May on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Each concert encompasses a broad spectrum of classical music with a wide range of composers. Often lesser-known pieces, modern compositions and premier performances are juxtaposed with familiar favorites. A lecture about the music precedes the Sunday afternoon concert and the conductor provides enlightening commentary during each performance. |
