Description   South Florida's premier commuter railroad, operating 7 days a week from 18 stations along a 72-mile corridor. Tri-Rail is the only regional commuter rail system in Florida. It began operating on January 9, 1989, as part of a major traffic mitigation effort during the construction and expansion of I-95. As the north-south spine of South Florida's transportation network, trains run parallel to Interstate 95, serving Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Connecting bus service is available from all 18 train stations, and Tri-Rail provides connecting service to the area's 3 international airports.
