The Bennington Museum is an exceptional regional history and art museum of national prominance. Known for its outstanding collections of early American furniture, decorative arts, paintings and glass, the museum also features military history and more. The museum has the largest public collection of art and personal memorabilia by and about the renowned self-taught artist Grandma Moses. In May 2000, the museum opened a new Bennington Pottery Gallery and Study Center which showcases its internationally recognized collection of ceramics produced in Bennington over the last two centuries. The museum also features changing exhibitions and a newly expanded Museum Shop. |
