William Howard Taft National Historic Site Birthplace and boyhood home of William Howard Taft.
 
   
Description   The home where our 27th Presdient and 10th Chief Justice was born has been restored to appear as it did during the period 1857 - 1877. A visit to the site starts at the Taft Education Center which includes an orientation film and exhibits on other members of the Taft family. A tour of the restored birthplace includes furnished rooms and exhibits on Taft's life and career.
