Description   This Civil-War-era landmark was once the Union Capitol of Virginia and the 1863 birthplace of West Virginia. West Virginia's separation from Virginia was the only change in territory brought about by the Civil War. Authentically restored, tours include Interpretive film and exhibit "West Virginia: Born of the Civil War."
