The Hill-Stead boasts an impressive collection of French Impressionist paintings, known as “avant-garde” in the days of the Pops family. In addition to the collection of French Impressionists, The Hill-Stead also has a wide variety of art, featuring prints, Japanese Ukiyo-e (woodblock prints), photographs, sculptures, and textiles. The structure of The Hill-Stead Museum itself is a historic work of art, featuring unique architecture and antique furniture that you can’t see anywhere else.
