Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton, FL, is a great place to learn and appreciate the Marine and Coastal environment by educating the community with classes, workshops and field trips. Open to the public, this facility is home to many seawater tanks, nature trails, butterfly gardens and the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility.

The tanks at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center houses an array of marine animals including sharks, rays, urchins and a variety of fish. The four tanks are filled with different eco-systems like mangroves and reefs. Visit their sea turtles at the rehabilitation tanks as Gumbo Limbo Nature Center nurses current residents back to health.

Be sure to take a stroll down their Boardwalk Trail which goes through a preserve Hardwood Hammock that shows visitors how Florida looked before modern developments. While on the trail, get a chance to climb their 40 foot observation tower and get a bird's eye view of the Intracoastal Waterway.
