About The Area

Maine is quite simply put – gorgeous. With a little bit of everything, it is a melting pot of scenery. Along with its famous jagged and rocky coastline, it also has plenty of lush green forests and whitewater rivers that roll through the state. Foodies will be satisfied with abundance of seafood here including clams and the famous Maine lobsters. Maine is ideal in the summer as winters get quite cold. Portland, Bar Harbor and Ogunquit are all popular towns located on the coast. Take it slow and visit Maine’s famous lighthouses, sun on its shores and visit each town’s art galleries, boutiques and cafes.

Venture inland and you’ll come across some equally charming towns like Bangor, Augusta and Lewiston. Bangor, home to many Stephen King novels, offers an upbeat art scene, museums, theaters, festivals and more. These are also close to the Acadia National Park, which is perfect for those looking to hike their way through.
