About The Area

Welcome to Baltimore, often known as the "city of neighborhoods" due to its 72 designated historic districts. Baltimore was originally known as a working-class town, but has grown over the past century into a small bustling metropolis. Its most notable and culturally different areas include the Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Little Italy.

Baltimore is also home to plenty of arts and theater. Mt. Vernon is the artistic hub of the city while the Bolton Hill neighborhood features Artscape, the largest free arts festival in America. Seeing a performance is never difficult since the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Center Stage and plenty of professional and community theater groups are located right in this area.

If sports are more your forte, Baltimore doesn't fall short. Visit Camden Yards and watch an Orioles game to see where Babe Ruth got his start. Head to M&T Bank Stadium to catch a Ravens game or visit Pimlico Race Course and check out where the Preakness happens every year.
