To experience the Senate Chamber programs, exhibits, and Senator Kennedy’s office, please plan for a one and half to two hour visit.

The Institute strives to meet the needs of and be accessible to all of its visitors. In addition to closed captioning, the Institute can loan out assistive listening devices, wheelchairs, and walkers for the duration of a visitor’s stay, though all are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

The Institute also offers a series of free public programs and special events focused on creating dialogue around local and national issues.

The Institute houses the only full-scale reproduction of the United States Senate Chamber.

The Institute’s building was designed by world-renowned architect, Rafael Viñoly and Rafael Viñoly Architects. The experience and exhibits were designed by Ed Schlossberg and his team at ESI Design.
