As many as 1,000,000 visitors each year enjoy the Science Center’s permanent galleries, live science demonstrations, OMNIMAX® Theater, James S. McDonnell Planetarium shows and special exhibitions.

First Fridays

Each First Friday the Science Center stays open late for sci-fi-themed activities, presentations and more! The evenings culminate with free 10pm screenings of science fiction movies in the OMNIMAX® Theater. First Friday favorites like public telescope viewings, sci-fi trivia and special prices for OMNIMAX® films are a staple at every event.

Discovery Room

Water, Nature, Space, and more!  Explore the Discovery Room with your young scientist.  Each area of the room allows you to immerse yourself in science learning through play.  The Discovery Room is open to everyone, but is specially designed for young learners ages 1-8. Program sessions are 45 minutes and begin on the hour. 

Experience Flight

Come visit Experience Flight where you can quite literally experience what it is like to fly and ride in various aircraft through fully immersive simulators! 

James S. McDonnell Planetarium

Shows are hourly on the half hour and include a 25 minute dark sky Planetarium Show* in the Orthwein StarBay and a self-guided tour of the Boeing Space Station to Learn about living and working in space after the show.
