Today the Brooklyn Navy Yard is an industrial park that employs more than 7,000 people in industries such as film production, 3D printing, rooftop farming, and whiskey distilling.

The USS Arizona, sunk at Pearl Harbor in 1941, and the USS Missouri, where the final peace treaty ending World War II was signed in 1945, were both built at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

The Yard is home to one of the nation's oldest dry docks, built in 1851, that is still used today to repair ships.
