Insider Info

The Museum is open every day except September 11th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Last admission is thirty minutes prior to closing and walking tours are available on the hour between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM daily.

An admission fee is charged. Discount packages are available.

Transit information:

1 to Rector Street Station

R to Rector or Cortlandt Street Stations

E to World Trade Center Station

A, C, J, Z, 2, 3, 4, or 5 to Fulton Street/Broadway Stations

Fun Facts

The Museum houses a wide range of exhibits. Lower Manhattan: Where the World Meets explores the history and significance of the area, and September 11, 2001 Gallery presents video footage from the morning of the attacks and powerful first-hand accounts of the day.

Other exhibits include Storytelling Gallery, which documents first-person experiences of September 11th, Response & Recovery Gallery, which highlights those who put aside personal safety to help, and Remembrance Room, which features over two thousand images chosen by family members.

The Rebuilding & Remembrance Gallery documents personal journeys during the recovery process, Service to the World highlights the ways members of the 9/11 community have reached out to help others, and Seeds of Service Gallery encourages visitors to do the same.
