The Courtyard Restaurant is proud of its rich history dating back to 1827 when the restaurant was a little log cabin and beer tavern for Bytowne's busy builders.150 soldiers later called the building home as they guarded the Governor General of Canada in 1875.

Keep an eye out for the Courtyard Restaurant's residential ghost, Ms. Evens. This phantom friend and sprightly spirit is rumored to entertain the staff and the occasional guest with her ghostly gags.

The dinosaur bones that can be seen on display at the Museum of Nature were first assembled in the restaurant's grand McArthur Room in the 1950s and 1960s.
