About The Area
Pennsylvania is a large, diverse state offering culture and history in its most densely populated cities and plenty of open-air farmland throughout the rest of its vast landscape. Philadelphia was once the heart of the British colonial empire making this the birthplace of freedom when the Declaration of Independence was signed in this city in 1776. The Liberty Bell also swings here, and is where citizens were called for the reading of the Declaration.
Pittsburgh is also one of Pennsylvania's most visited cities. Once an industrial city known for its steel and coal factories, it is now a center for a blooming arts and culture scene. Live music and quaint cafes can be found downtown as well.
