Blithewold does not have a restaurant onsite and only provides food for special events or programs. However, picnicking is encouraged, as long as guests take out what they brought in.

Blithewold admission is good for the day, leaving guests the opportunity to head into downtown Bristol for a little more sightseeing or an afternoon snack with the chance to come back later to take in even more of what Blithewold has to offer.

In addition to being a beautiful, educational historical site, Blithewold is a fantastic wedding venue. Blithewold’s in-house event planning staff can help couples plan the East Bay wedding of their dreams.

The Mansion is Blithewold II, as the first Blithewold Mansion was destroyed by a fire in 1906. Thankfully, many of the furnishings in the Mansion were able to be saved.

Blithewold’s grounds boast the largest Sequoia east of the Rocky Mountains.
